A Scenic Road Through Missouri Wine Country
One of the original highways built in 1922, Highway 94 offers some of the most unique views in the entire state of Missouri. It traverses the rolling hills and fertile river valleys created by the Ice Age 10,000 years ago.
Thanks in part to the local wineries, this landscape has remained the same as what the German settlers intended.
Also, along the road are the villages of Defiance, Augusta and Dutzow which offer amenities such as bed and breakfasts, restaurants, taverns and local breweries. This means that your trip through America’s first-ever wine trail is like a step back in time. And it’s just a short drive away.
